Howdy everyone, Its been a while and I just re-downloaded GC2 today. Great speeds, well over 1mb/sec!

The last time I played it was when it was released early and that was only for a little bit

I'd just like to know how to access the epic generator. I can't wait to export my games

Sorry, the devs removed the epic generator. It took up too much development time, as much as Dark Avatars new combat system. Hopefully, it will be in the next Galciv 2 expansion. It was two thirds done when Brad Wardell(Frogboy) decided to remove it.

oh get out of town!!!!!!

i was drooling for that feature!!!!

oh man, well i certainly hope they don't kill it off forever... it was such a promising thing....

Yea, it became insanely problematic to get that in.  And it's probably a good thing we didn't do it, foreign translation would have cost a fortune!

I thought you were saying something about maybe getting it in for a patch?

While it doesn't solve the technical issues, I think there's a straightforward solution to that -- give the community the resources to handle that part. Have the event log get generated, then plug it through "story-style" files written by the community to generate the final tale. Is it a lot of work? I imagine it is -- but I *do* think it's well within the community's abilities.

A secondary benefit of that would be the ability to use different style-files for different races.

Yeah, I don't hold out much hope for the EG to be released, but it's such a cool idea.

Are you talking about the epic map in DL?

I like that one because i get all the anomalies!! Otherwise if you have 9 opponents, even on huge maps with abundant anomalies, the anomalies get sucked dry by those AI basteds pretty damb quick!
